DD1 - 29 month update

> Age of your EC-child...
29 months

> We started at...
3.5 months

> Generally speaking we are doing...
Great.  Things seem to be back to “normal”, and we haven’t had a miss in many, many days now (ever since I quit counting the laundry, I think, ROFL).

> How do you know your baby has to go? Baby's signals? Timing? Intuition? Is there a difference for poos and pees?
She just tells us, goes on her own or asks us to go with her.

> Which positions/receptacles do you use?
She mainly uses the BB insert on the toilet, but also uses BBLP or BB potty chair.  She has been doing very well just sitting on the toilet when out and about.

> Do you use diapers or training pants? On what occasions, what kind of diapers?
We use size 2T/3T underwear.

> How are you doing away from home?
Great, but we did have an accident while out this past month.  It was, of course, at the DFB meeting!  I stepped out of the room for about 20 minutes, and I left her there.  I had asked her when we got there if she needed to potty, but she did not.  I forgot to remind her where I would be leaving the little potty for her to use when I left.  So, I walked back in the door just as she broke into tears because she needed to pee.  She had just peed her pants because she wasn’t sure how/where to potty.  I felt horrible.  She was devastated, but it was no big deal (other than my awful guilty feelings).  She was wearing leggings that are great for miss containment.  I found a pair of panties in our bag, and I put her sister’s pants on her.  I long ago quit carrying extra pants for her, so I was happy to have had extra pants for her sister.

> What are you doing at night?
Great; we have not had any night accidents over the past month.

> Who takes baby (toddler) to the potty?
Herself, me, DH, nanny and babysitter

> Accidents - how many do you have?  What times are especially accident-prone?
Well, I quit counting the laundry, and she seems to have quit having misses.  She did have one miss recently with the babysitter.

> Other new insights:
I am not very good at integrating record-keeping into our routine.  I know that record-keeping is referenced as a tool to help recognize patterns and such, but I am too busy in each moment to add record-keeping as another “chore.”  When we have misses it is usually because I am trying to do laundry, cook, clean, nurse and/or entertain kids all at the same time.  I have tried to figure out ways to make record-keeping a part of our routine, but I haven’t figured out a way yet.

> What do you like most about ec’ing at the moment?
I love that our “toilet training” has been an incredibly rewarding and fulfilling journey.

> Do you ever wish you'd have never heard about it?
